Dr. Nelson O. Yoshioka Jr.

Dr. Nelson Yoshioka Jr. graduated from Iolani High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Seattle University and his Doctorate of Optometry degree from Pacific University. He spends most of his time at our Kaimuki office where he has practiced for over 30 years.

Professionally, he is a member of the Hawaii Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Yoshioka was also a past president of the Hawaii Optometric Association, past board member of the State board of Examiners in Optometry and received the Optometrist of the Year award, voted on by his colleagues. He enjoys golfing, jogging, watching University of Hawaii sports and spending time with his family. He is also an active member of Honolulu Christian Church where he served on the board of Trustees and Deacons.

Dr. Cheryl C. Niitani

Dr. Cheryl Niitani, born and raised on Kauai, graduated from Waimea High School and obtained her undergraduate degree and Doctorate of Optometry degree from Pacific University. Dr Niitani enjoys practicing at our Pearl City office which is equipped with the latest in technology and provides the highest in quality eye care.

Professionally, she is a member of the Hawaii Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She has also been published in the Journal of Optometry. She enjoys exercising, cooking, traveling and spending time with her family. She is married to Dr. Yoshioka and has 2 children.

Dr. Evan Tanaka

O.D./Associate

Dr. Evan Tanaka was born and raised on Oahu where he attended Moanalua High School. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Creighton University and received his Doctorate of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry with Magna Cum Laude Honors. Through his clinical experience, Dr. Tanaka found his passion in screening and managing ocular pathologies such as glaucoma and diabetic eye disease. Dr. Tanaka is committed to delivering quality comprehensive eye care with the latest advancements in technology. He is currently a member of the Hawaii Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time at the beach and competing at local basketball courts.
